It started with a conversation.
A wish to connect with people while travelling became the idea behind the Vavus language translator.
A traveller’s problem. A shared idea.
Constantine and his college roommate, Douglas, started Vavus in 2020. Constantine’s travels had shown him how much of a place you can miss when you cannot talk with the people who live there.

Customer feedback became part of the work of improving the devices, their features, and the help available to their owners.
